About us

The Regional Association GEMERSKO has been started up to create the conditions for the sustainable development of the regions. The main goal is to improve conditions of social, educational and cultural life of residents in different regions.

Activities:

- participation on presentations, exhibitions and fairs, especially oriented at tourism and regions

- organization and co-organization of cultural, social and sport events

- development of traditional folk crafts and habits and retention for the future generation

- presentation and propagation of the culture and habits in the social area of the regions

- ensure the common promotion via publications, materials, music and multimedia CD tracks

The association had experience in project implementation and had developed several successful applications

of EU funds in the past, e.g. .:

• Project under OP ZaSi,
• Priority 4: Capacity building and improving the quality of public administration,
• Measure 4.1: Improving the quality of services provided by government organizations and non-profit organizations, call code: DOP-SIA-2008 / 4.1.3 / 01.

The association conducted the study of the old buildings reconstruction for the Municipality Nižná Jablonka by using the agro tourism. The association is also organizing folk festivals and social events.
